For as long as I can recall, mixed media has been my chosen way to express myself artistically. This semester, I dove into both black and white film photography and digital art, two very different realms of creativity. Rather than sticking to just one thing, I wanted to push myself and bring together the various skills I've learned this semester. I decided to scan my negatives to transfer them into Photoshop for the purpose of visual manipulation. I combined elements from my black and white film photos with colorful pictures of nature. It was a deliberate choice—a juxtaposition aimed at crafting a narrative. In these images, you'll find subjects from my photos exploring this newfound colorful world, their expressions a mix of curiosity and wonder. With each picture, I chose to convey the beauty of nature, showing how it can serve as a form of escape.
